Our reindeer safaris are designed with care, taking into account your preferences while ensuring reindeer welfare is our top priority. We offer a selection of safari experiences, each with its own unique charm, yet sharing core elements. Typically, our safaris include a magical reindeer sleigh ride, the opportunity to feed the reindeer, and a storytelling session by the fire, where you can enjoy warm drinks and snacks. Every detail can be further discussed to make sure your experience is truly memorable.

Booking & availability
All our reindeer safaris are booked through our trusted partners, but we personally lead and carry out each experience. Availability depends on snow conditions, and our safaris typically run from December to March when the landscape is at its most magical. Warm clothing is provided through us to ensure your comfort during the adventure. To secure your place, we recommend booking early, and we’re happy to assist you in arranging the perfect experience with our partners.

We are a Sámi couple with a lifelong connection to reindeer herding. Raised in reindeer herding families, our deep-rooted knowledge and passion for this ancient way of life shape every experience we offer in our reindeer tourism adventures.

The Sámi people have lived alongside reindeers for centuries, and this tradition is strongly reflected in Sau Raindeer’s operations. Reindeer herding is not just a profession; it’s part of the Sámi identity and way of life. The welfare of the reindeer always comes first.
